The Blessed and Fit Home Schooling Mommy: Floral First Birthday

When our little girl turned one. I knew i wanted to do something with florals. I had pinned so many beautiful floral girl birthdays, after we knew that we were having a girl. Since having her was a true miracle from God. We wanted her first birthday to be special and beautiful.

I usually start planning at least 6 months in advanced, but we had some things come up. So I ended up planning this one with only 2 months to go before the party. So I really didn't get a chance to incorporate everything I initially wanted to do. I also knew I wanted to incorporate balloon arches and this party would be my first time doing them.

Once I had my theme down. I just went with some cute pink and blue boxes with the number 1 on them from oriental trading company. I just filled them with lots of dollar store favors .

The entertainment was going to be an above ground pool but hubby decided against it. So we just did 2 big homemade slip and slides and made a PVC pipe changing station outside. Sorry like I said not much time to plan and less time to try and take pictures on the process of building it. You can get lots of ideas on pinterest for outside PVC cabana.

The food was some nice yummy subs from Publix and the goodies were cakeballs, chocolate covered oreos, cup cakes, donuts and 2 beautiful cakes made by my friend. We also did a little sundae making station. Since her birthday is in the summertime.

Other than that i just used alot of things i had on hand around the house or in my leftover parties stash.

We also made some cute picture favors for each family to take home, with pictures from her 6 month photo shoot.

Other things in the decor were her first year of pictures made into the number 1.

I printed pictures of her with all of the family and friends attending and hung it over the gifts to see right when they walked in. I also hung up all the cards from her baby shower for everyone to see. Since that day was such a special time for us. We wanted everyone to know we truly appreciate their time and gifts for baby Faith.
