Our Co-Sleeping Journey

Hello blogging world. I have been gone for a while. Since then I have had our beautiful baby girl who is now 3 months old. She arrived a couple days early and was born healthy. Although after a few days developed silent reflux, which turned into gerd.. This was a very hard time for us. She could not be layyed flat at all. We had to hold her upright for 30 minutes after a feeding. She had a couple episodes of projectile vomiting. We changed milk 4x and went through a lot of ups and downs. She would sleep in her rock a roo. Which I would wake up and check om her every 30 minutes. Through many prayers she has been symptom free for 2 weeks and we have decided to bring her crib into our room to co-sleep. I want her next to me not only for the reasons as to grab her quick if she does have a choking episode, but also because she sleeps way better with me next to her. I really don't care what people think about her being attached to me or hard to put to sleep on her own in the future. As long as she is sleeping and happy then it is worth it..

With all of this I decided to share our co-sleeping arrangements.  Now our room is relatively small and we have a antique chair we use for feeding. With a couple of rearrangements. This is what works best. We took off one side of her crib and attached it to the bed with multiple zip ties. We used zip ties because we might be selling our house and would like to be able to move crib quickly if we needed to. I also pushed her mattress closest to ours and put rolled up blankets in the back to keep it from having any gaps. We decided on doing this because we only plan on co sleeping for a month. You can use Styrofoam blocks from the dollar store. I also have a picture of my diapering bed station that I use to change her in our room. It has helped me because it has everything I will need for her.
