6 Annoying Pregnancy Symptoms Your Doctor Won't Tell You About!

Those of you who are pregnant or planning on getting pregnant. We tend to think we are going to experience the glow, have great skin and hair and then you get one of those awkward pregnancies where you get everything but that you want to cry! I wanted to share some of my weird annoying symptoms that I have experienced in my 3rd pregnancy with you.

  1. Over Salivating. Around week 7, I started producing a huge amount of spit. It was disgusting and annoying. I literally had a spit cup everywhere. One of my friends said she experienced it too. So I looked it up and yes it is a proven unusual symptom some women get. My relief for this was chewing gum!!!!!!
  2. Nasal Congestion. This started round week 7 also and is still going strong. I have a roll of toilet paper in my car and by my bed. When I am out, I literally have to go to the restroom every 15 minutes to blow my nose. I looked it up and it too is a proven unusual symptom.
  3. Greasy Hair. This started around week 6 and with a couple of things I have found has made it significantly better. I would wash my hair and literally 4 hours later it looked like I hadn't washed my hair in weeks. It was embarrassing. What I found works for me is a weekly coconut oil scalp treatment that I keep in over night and all day the next day. I know it sounds gross but after the second treatment. I went 4 days without washing and my hair was just a little greasy!!!
  4. Backne. We know hormones play a big roll in acne. Which during first 5 weeks I had a lot of acne on my face. But after week 6, I started breaking out on my chest, shoulders and back. It seemed like nothing I did helped. Until I started dry brushing my back and shoulders and then immediately after I shower, I apply coconut oil to all of my skin and give it a rub down with a towel. I noticed if I showered in the morning to make sure I cleaned my chest and shoulders before bed. I know sometimes I don't shower again at night. Don't judge me I was so sick I was lucky if I could get dressed let alone shower twice in a day. Also change your sheets and pillow cases daily if you have sensitive skin like me and a prone to this condition.
  5. Gas. Another fun symptom which is proven to be a annoying symptom. I am typically not a gassy person but during this pregnancy I am. I have used it to my advantage to get my husband back for all his awful surprise farts!
  6. Morning Sickness. This one we all know about. But did you know that it can last past your first trimester? Or did you know that it can happen at any time? Well if you didn't I'm here to let you know it can. I call it all day sickness. I was throwing up in the morning, afternoon, night, and even at 12 am & 4 am!! So fun. Plus it still comes and goes throughout my second trimester.  It can come on with no warning like when I threw up in my sink 3x or in the shower 4x. I have tried every wise tale and old school remedy. The one thing that has helped me is smelling rubbing alcohol. It has helped me many times. So if you are experiencing this symptom try smelling rubbing alcohol as soon as you feel sick.

Thank you for visiting,
God bless,
Lea
