In society we are busier then ever. We are working many hours , costs are going up but our pay seems to be staying the same or going down. We as women make time for everyone but ourselves. As a mom I knew I needed some me time but I felt bad at the chance of taking it. But oh boy did I realized how good that time would be for me.
If your life was anything like mine when I decided to get into shape . I was working a 8-6pm job. Had a 2 year old in daycare and a 8 year old in school. My husband worked 7-4pm and went to school 3 days from 6-9pm. Life was hectic my eating was no breakfast or fast food, then fast food for lunch and a quick boxed dinner. My body was so tired. My brain was on melt down . I couldn't sleep and I woke up early I was on my third cup of coffee by 12pm. My job was very demanding we barely had time for lunch and rushed at end of night to get out by 6pm.. I finally had a breakdown when I hit 90lbs and my over active thyroid took over. I told my husband that's it I'm going to sell our bow flex (which took up half our living room and was used to hang clothes on),and I bought a year membership at a gym and got a trainer. I started going to gym 3 days a week training only once with a trainer and then 2 days with a friend. I fell in love with it.. At first I lost more weight cause my nutrition wasn't on point and then I finally started eating right and started seeing benefits right away. I had breakfast on the way to work(2hardboiled eggs, and a piece of toast ) my car stunk but boy I felt great by the time I got to work. At lunch I brought a whole salad, a can of tuna,1egg or turkey and a fruit.. I only drank water and I drank all day . I made sure to have a cup after every 2 patients I took back. It became a habit. I would get home cook baked chicken w/ rice and beans and a salad. I'd have kids shower while I cooked. I would then go to gym at 7:30-8:30pm and head home I did this Monday through Friday. I'd talk to my kids in the car to and from the gym and no music just talk. We would Finish up any homework and pray and tuck my kids in bed when we got home. I'd get up Sunday before church and go do spin class at 8:30am which was my fasted cardio. I lost all my cellulite started getting a womanly shape back and had gained about 6lbs of muscle in the first 3-6 months of doing this. I was much happier, felt great, and was able to handle my stress much better. My kids actually liked this schedule. They liked the gym cause they were able to play for an hour. It became a lifestyle after the first year I was able to workout only 3 days a week to maintain where I was. And throughout the years have maintained and done my best to live this way.
I since have became a personal trainer and have helped many women get into the best shape and love who they are again and including helping my husband ... Remember we all will struggle and fall but always get back up. Life is so short . Get in shape now and see how much happier you will be.. God bless .........Lea
