Hey Ladies it's the end of this lovely weekend and back to the craziness. Well for me at least. This weekend the hubs took me to get some new jeans. Whoo hoo because my old ones no longer fit.
Before I go into the review on the jeans let me give you a brief rundown of my history because I know some of you are like what are you talking about you are so tiny and what curves?
I have been super tiny my whole life. I was very active as a kid. I did everything from gymnastics to football. I was a dancer since I could walk and while I didn't take any professional classes (because my mom really couldn't afford it) I was still always dancing. As a teen I started hanging out and doing the not so good things some teens do and ended up getting pregnant with my oldest daughter at age 17. This became a game changer for me. I moved in with my aunt, got a job and started my new life as a single, working, pregnant teen. After my daughters birth. I started losing a lot of weight. But then would gradually put the weight back on. I never was never really bigger than a size 5 but I would fluctuate from a 00 to a size 5. This was very depressing for me because I hated being skinny. Fast forward 4 years I started working out and lifting some minor weights and found myself now with crazy heart palpitations and being very out of breath. On a run one night with my daughter I nearly passed out. At this time I was a single mom and uninsured. I drove myself to the ER where they did an ekg and admitted me into the hospital. My resting heart rate upon admitting was 160 beats per minute. I spent 5 days and went through Hurricane Wilma alone in the hospital. After numerous tests and labs the doctor told me I had Hyperthyroidism. I was shocked. All this time it made sense the weight fluctuations, the heart palpitations, the hormonal changes and till this day the many symptoms from this disease. Shortly after diagnosis I found out I was pregnant with my youngest daughter. That pregnancy was a hard one. And again after having her I lost a significant amount of weight. At that point I snapped and said enough is enough this disease is not going to rule my life.
I then started researching nutrition and fitness and started my journey to being fit. Along this journey has been still a struggle but over the last 5 years I have been able to put on 15 lbs of muscle and go up 3 dress sizes. Now here I am in my thirties and boy my body is again changing and I have now outgrown all those clothes that I worked so hard to fit into. Which leaves me at a hault. Where does a 4'11 girl with 22 inch thighs and 36 inch hips find jeans to fit?
Levi's that's where. I stumbled upon a blog that showed fitness girls with these jeans that did not fit too tight and squish their booties... I had to go try them on.Upon doing so I found a jean that actually fits my crazy frame. Yay so ladies if you have bigger legs, butt and hips and struggle with finding jeans go try on the Demi curve or any Curve Id jeans from Levi's .
The jeans are made with more room in the thigh area and more curve to the hips and butt. Which makes for a more comfortable fit. They fit the waist perfect there is no bunching or need to constantly pull the jeans up. Really no need for a belt which is perfect for me. I highly recommend you ladies go try them out. Only con I see is they don't sell petite sizing in the outlet so I will have to get mine hemmed. You can also order them online but they are cheaper at the outlet!
